One of the mobile handsets launched by Samsung at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona is the Samsung i320, with features include a media player that supports MPEG4 / H.263 / H.264 / WMV video formats and MP3 / AAC / AAC+ / WMA / WAV / OGG audio formats and, strangely enough with all these big specs, only a 1.3 megapixel camera. Also dig the QWERTY keyboard and the light weight of just 3.4 ounces. Look for this around the second quarter of 2006. [Gizmodo]

4 GB hard disk, 2 megapixel camera, Symbian 9.1 OS, brilliant music player, Voice recognition, Bluetooth, EDGE, Wi-Fi, 3G compatibility. With all those rich features the phone packs quite a punch, but would it make it to the final round?

Samsung will present their ultra slim phone SGH-X820 at the Sviaz ExpoComm 2006 in Russia (10-13 May). The new bar phone is only 6.9 mm thick, but there is a hump on the top of the phone which makes it a bit thicker in that part. Samsung X820 will feature a 2 megapixel camera with video recording, MP3 support, Bluetooth connectivity and TV-out. The device will hit the European markets (including Russia) in a week. In June it will be available in China under the SGH-X828 name.
The FCC has approved a new Windows Mobile Smartphone for Verizon. The Pantech PN820 or PC-8200N is a clamshell style phone with dual color displays and a traditional numeric keypad.
The Pantech phone combines high-end functionality and stylish design, has 1.3-megapixel camera with flash, memory expansion via miniSD (I/O) cards. The device has also powerful connectivity features, including WI-FI (not sure) and Bluetooth. The FCC pages do not reveal information on its display, but we guess it is a QVGA 240×320, 65k color TFT one, and secondary unit is located on the front shell for caller ID functionality.
