Toshiba has just released their new Satellite U200 series. Starting at just 4.1-pounds and measuring-in at 1.4-inches thick, this 12.1-inch laptop packs in a 2.16GHz Core Duo T2600 CPU, 4GB DDR2 RAM, 100GB of 7200 RPM SATA, DVD dual-layer disk with gimmicks like 6-in-1 media adapter, fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, 802.11a/b/g WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0.

Toshiba delivers the first laptop to feature an HD-DVD ROM drive, called the Qosmio G35-AV650. It has 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo T2500, 2 x 100GB, 5,400rpm harddisk, and Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 graphics card.
Of course, the important feature is the next-generation HD-DVDs optical drive that can also play and burn all types of CDs and DVDs. To go with the drive, Toshiba has included an HDMI output capable of delivering 1080i resolution. 1,920×1,200 (WUXGA) display that supports 1080p is another big plus.
The new high-end TV notebook Qosmio G30 from Toshiba will be sold in Germany bundled with a ticket to a soccer game at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
The Toshiba Qosmio G30 has been already announced (Japanese) in Japan a couple of weeks ago. Toshiba is an official FIFA World Cup sponsor, so they have access to lots of tickets. Many soccer fans are still hunting for tickets to see a game at the World Cup. I am not sure if buying a Notebook is the best way to get one, but why not.
